Seven of a family killed in IED blast in Parachinar

PARACHINAR: A landmine blast on Tuesday killed as many as seven people including three women and a child of a same family in Kurram Agency’s Ghoz Garhi area.

According to the details, the improvised explosive device (IED) exploded as a van carrying nine people drove by killing seven people.  The security personnel have also launched an investigation into the matter.

Senior local government official Basir Khan Wazir said the corpses have been shifted to Parachinar Hospital for identification process. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, he added.

Another person was injured in the explosion near the Pak-Afghan border, the political administration said.  INP
