LAHORE: Seven more convicts on death row were hanged in the early hours of Wednesday morning in different jails of Punjab.
At Faisalabad Central Jail, three murder convicts were hanged amidst high security. Nabeel Ahmed, Muhammed Saleem and Muhammed Rashid were all handed the death sentence for committing murders in 2000 and 1998.
Two death row convicts were executed in Central Jail Sahiwal. Prisoner Fiaz was guilty of killing a man in 2003 while death row convict Qaisar had killed a man in 2004 in a robbery attempt.
Death row prisoner Muhammad Aslam s/o Manni Khan was executed in Mianwali Central Jail. Muhammad Aslam had killed a man and his son over a domestic dispute in 1997.
Another death row convict, Iqbal, was hanged in Gujrat Central Jail. Prisoner Iqbal was guilty of killing a man in 1998.
