QUETTA: At least seven people including six of same family died when roof of a house collapse after a dumper fell over it in the provincial capital Quetta on Tuesday morning.
Rescue sources said that a reckless driven over speeding dumper got out of control of the driver and it fell over a house located by roadside at Double Road in Quetta.
All the seven people including a couple, their four daughters and a guest were buried under the debris and died. The dumper driver fled from the scene of the accident. The rescue personnel and dwellers of the area through joint efforts pulled out the bodies from the rubble and shifted them to hospital where they were handed over to heirs for burial. The driver of the dumper managed to flee the scene of the accident.
Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives and directed for immediate arrest of the driver.
