Pakistan cricket team after successful series against West Indies is moving to New Zeeland for brief series of two Test matches. Pakistan remained dominant against West Indies and won all T20 and ODI matches comprehensively, but in Test matches West Indies came back strongly and won the last match and Misbah eleven were not able to win all three matches. Still Pakistan was able to bag series 2-1, but it was expected that in spin friendly conditions Pakistan would comprehensively win all three matches.
After the last match of the series captain of Pakistan team Misbah ul Haq, who was playing his 49th Test as captain (mot by any Pakistani captain), while talking to media accepted that his team made number of mistakes which eventually opened the window for number 8th ranked team to beat them comprehensively. It is right approach to accept the mistakes; it helps the team to improve performances in next matches. But veteran coach of Pakistan team Mickey Arthur passed a statement which many believe was lame excuse, he was of the view that team went to Dubai to play against West Indies after just ten days of long and hectic tour of England and players were not given proper rest. Many are appreciating new coach for providing chances to the emerging players in order to find winning combination, but such statements from a seasoned coach were not expected. All the players and coaching staff with the team are professionals and they need to give their hundred percent throughout the series. We hope that players and coaches would overcome the mistakes they committed in last Test match against West Indies and shall dominate in their series against New Zeeland and Australia.
