ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Monday passed Domestic Workers (Employment Rights) Bill, 2015″ moved by Senator Osman Saifullah.
The House adopted a resolution recommending that the government should increase the profit rates of National Saving Schemes particularly on those relating to pensioners and senior citizens. It was moved by Salahuddin Tirmizi and Muhammad Javed Abbasi.
The House passed another resolution recommending that a Day Care Centre for the children of female employees should be established in every Federal Government institution.
Through another resolution the House recommended that Indus Waters Treaty be revisited in order to make new provisions in the treaty so that Pakistan may get more water for its rivers.
The house also passed a resolution recommending the Government to buy electronic voting machines for Election Commission of Pakistan.
Speaking on the resolution, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad said the Election Commission has already procured four hundred electronic voting machines.
These would be used in by-elections and local government elections and the experiment if proved successful then three hundred thousand machines would be procured. NNI
