ISLAMABAD (INP) Senate Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics control will meet here Friday to discuss law and order and security situation as well as steps taken to control the menace of narcotics in the country.
Sources said the meeting would be briefed about the quantity of narcotics and chemicals seized during the last three years and the number of culprits arrested in this regard. The meeting will also discuss measures taken by the regional directorate of ANF Rawalpindi to control the smuggling of drugs .
The committee, according to the sources will take stocks of the situation arising out of the sit ins in Islamabad by PTI and PAT as well as killings of religious scholars in Karachi over the last one week.
