Senate body discusses ‘Islamabad Capital Territory Waqf Properties Bill, 2020’

ISLAMABAD : The 24th meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior was held Friday under the Chairmanship of Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, MNA, in Islamabad.  The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran, The Committee offered Fatiha over sad demise of Syed Iftikhar Ul Hassan, MNA, member of the Standing Committee on Interior and then the Committee decided to proceed with the agenda.  The agenda of the meeting included discussion on the bills “the Islamabad Capital Territory Waqf Properties Bill, 2020″ and the Islamabad Capital Territory Trust Bill, 2020”. The Committee considered the Bill titled “the Islamabad Capital Territory Waqf Properties Bill, 2020”, after discussion the Committee decided to defer the Bill till next meeting, which will be held on 10-8-2020, for further deliberation.  The Bill “the Islamabad Capital Territory Trust Bill, 2020” was also deferred till the next meeting. The Committee approved the recommendations of the Sub Committee of Standing Committee on Interior appointed under the convener -ship of Ms. Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak, MNA, on the issues of Nurseries and Kiosks/Khokhas. Members/MNAs Sher Akbar Khan, Mehar Ghulam Muhammad Lali, Malik Karamat Ali Khokhar, Sardar Talib Hassan Nakai, Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak, Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, Nadeem Abbas, Maryam Aurangzaib, Syed Agha Rafiullah, Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur, Abdul Qadir Patel and the senior officers from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Law & Justice and Chief Commissioner Office attended the meeting.
