BAJAUR AGENCY: At least one security official was martyred and a passerby injured when a bomb blast hit Salarzai area, security sources confirmed.
Security forces cordoned off the area and a search operation in the area was launched to arrest the culprits.
Bajaur is one of seven semi-autonomous tribal districts along Pakistan´s mountainous western border. They became a hotbed of extremist militants following the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.
The area has witnessed several such acts of terror in the past.
