Security of Islamabad’s ‘Red Zone’ beefed up after reports of sneaking in of terrorists

ISLAMABAD, Sept 12 (INP): Security of Islamabad’s red zone has been beefed up further after reports of presence of five to six terrorists in dharnas of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

Secret Agencies on Thursday in its report sent to Interior Ministry had revealed that five/six terrorists are there in PTI, PAT protests who were in contact with their accomplices based in Khyber Agency and they were looking for an opportunity to target the participants of the two sit-ins in the Capital.

The Interior Ministry responding to the report had directed the Islamabad police and administration for making appropriate measures to deal with any untoward occurrence.

Additional security personnel equipped with weapons and other equipments have been deployed at all the routes leading to red zone.

Federal police and administration has also contacted the leaders of the two sit-ins in this regard for chalking out strategy to save precious lives.
