<strong></strong> ISLAMABAD: The government in the wake of security concerns on the occasion of Defence Day has decided to shut down more than a dozen seminaries in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Official sources said that strict security arrangements have been made in the twin cities for Defence Day celebrations and seminaries will remain close from September 05 to 07 whereas the students will be sent home on vacations. Moreover, mobile phone service will also remain suspended during the main ceremony of Defence Day in twin cities. Earlier, in a major action against miscreants in the federal capital, the police and Rangers personnel arrested more than hundred suspects during joint search operation in different localities in Bhara Kahu area of Islamabad. The law enforcement personnel sealed Bhara Kahu area from 18 points and searched houses, hotels and hostels. According to police, the search operation was conducted on a tip-off from security agencies and 121 suspects were detained. Four 9mm rifles, 19 pistols, 890 bullets and other weapons were recovered in the operation. <strong>INP</strong>
