LAHORE: Security has been beefed up in Punjab province after firing of terrorists on a community bus in Karachi killing 45 members of Ismaili community on Wednesday.
Security of important government and private buildings across Punjab has been enhanced while additional security personnel have been deployed at bus terminals, railway stations besides strict checking at entrances and exits of various cities of the province.
IG Punjab has directed all RPOs, DPOs and CCPOs of the province for making fool proof security arrangements for securing public lives and properties.
The officials responsible for security arrangements have also been asked for enhancing the patrolling to keep a check on activities of outlaws and to avert any terror bid.
The development came after firing of unknown extremists on bus of Ismaili community in Karachi in which 45 people were dead while several others were critically injured.
