Saudi Consulate to facilitate KCCI recommended business visas

KARACHI: Consul General of Royal Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Karachi, Mohammad Abdullah Abdul Daim has assured a delegation of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) that the Saudi Consulate would try its best to facilitate issuance of business visas being recommended by KCCI with a view promote trade and commercial ties between the two countries.

Saudi Consul General gave the assurance while exchanging views with a delegation of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry comprising President KCCI, Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra, Senior Vice President KCCI Muhammad Ibrahim Kasumbi, Vice President KCCI, Agha Shahab Ahmed Khan and Chairman of Diplomatic Missions and Embassies’ Liaison Sub-Committee KCCI, Muhammad Naeem Sharif who visited the Saudi Consulate in Karachi to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Speaking on the occasion, President KCCI, Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra stressed the need to focus on devising strategy to bring business communities of the two countries closer and seek ways and means of how to improve trade ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

He was of the opinion that the overall climate of doing business in Karachi has improved significantly and was likely to improve further in the days ahead.

The Saudi businessmen and industrialist will surely have a win-win situation as the investment policy of the government guarantees 100 percent repatriation of investment to foreign investors, he added.

In order to enhance trade, President KCCI underscored the need to frequently exchange trade delegations and promote exhibitions in both countries with a view to not only raise awareness about the products and services but also bring the business communities closer.

Pakistan, being an emerging market, offers tremendous investment opportunities to Saudi businessmen who can surely benefit from Pakistan’s abundant natural resources and raw material along with cheaper land and labor force, he added.

Seeking participation of Saudi businessmen and industrialists in KCCI’s forthcoming My Karachi – Oasis of Harmony exhibition 2015, President KCCII briefed the Saudi Consul General about 12th My Karachi Exhibition scheduled to be organized at the Karachi Expo Center from April 10th to April 12th, 2015. He said that the exhibition would provide a perfect opportunity to Saudi business community to enhance business ties with their Pakistani counterparts by holding business-to-business meetings on the sidelines of the exhibition which was likely to attract 800,000 visitors this year. DNA
