ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (INP): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousif has pledged that Pakistan would continue moral support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for their fundamental rights.
The minister expressed these views while addressing a conference on Kashmir held in London hosted by the Chair of All Party Parliamentary Group on International Relations and organized by the Chair of International Human Rights Association Rubab Mehdi Rizvi, says a press release received here on Tuesday.
The conference, which was attended by a large number of youth leaders and British Parliamentarians, highlighted the importance of resolving the Kashmir dispute in view of the tremendous humanitarian sufferings.
The minister said such conferences are crucial to developing a better understanding of the Kashmir issue as Kashmiris have been struggling for their fundamental rights since the last six decades.
The conference has provided youth to express their views on the Kashmir issue and termed it a very encouraging as a large number of youth participating in the conference enthusiastically for the Kashmir cause, the minister added.
The minister also thanked to the British Parliamentarians for highlighting the human rights in Kashmir.
Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Human Rights MP Khalid Mehmood, Chair of International Human Rights Association Rubab Mehdi Rizvi, MP Debbie Abrahams, MP David Ward, Lord Ahmed of Rotherham, Lord Qurban Hussain and Kashmiri youth leader Saud Sultan also addressed to the conference.
