The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia said that the number of Saudi citizens working in private enterprises increased by 45 percent during the year 2024.
According to Saudi media, a statement issued by the ministry said that efforts to empower women have had a significant impact on increasing economic participation.
The ministry’s report further said that due to the increase in the growth rate last year, the labor market increased to 35.8 percent, of which the proportion of women increased to 43 percent.
According to the ministry’s report, the private sector contributed 50.5 percent to the employment of citizens, while the unemployment rate in Saudi Arabia has seen a significant decrease.
The statement said that the salaries of employees in the private sector increased by 45 percent last year, which has increased the standard of living.
The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development added that all this was possible due to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030, which has brought revolutionary changes to the kingdom.
