ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar on Tuesday urged people to make commitment to strengthen Pakistan on August 14.

Addressing the participants of ‘Sehatmand Pakistan Walk’ here, the minister said that people should forge unity in their ranks and foil the nefarious designs of those elements, who are trying to create dissensions and discord in the country. She said that country’s people have given the mandate to the present government of Pakistan Muslim League (N) to resolve all issues however some dispirited politicians are upset without any reason. She said that one so called religious leader is trying to mislead the people in the name of Islam, she however said that people are fully well aware of such tactics.

The minister invited all political forces and stakeholders to use their energies in building a healthy and prosperous Pakistan. She said that it is a high time that every political leader should play due role in the progress and development of the country instead of creating anarchy in the country. She said that people participation in all fields is necessary for making Pakistan a developed state of the world, adding, present government is committed to take the economy of the country on right path. She said that due to sincere efforts of present government, country’s economic situation has improved however she added that due to recent call of sit-in and agitation, country’s stock exchanges have received negative impacts.

Saira Afzal Tarar reiterated the commitment of the government to build a healthy and prosperous Pakistan. “We realize the difficulties that are hindering our way to progress but our resolve is firm and non-state actors will be defeated at the end.” She added efforts are being made to improve the health sector and the present government will not leave any stone unturned to improve the situation.
