Qadri ISLAMABAD:PAT chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri has said the incumbent rulers were making the future of nation ‘bleak’ through endless corruption.

Revolution has now become a movement across the country, said Dr. Qadri while addressing his supporters at a sit-in camp at D-Chowk in Islamabad.

“All the ‘corrupt leaders’ unite in the parliament to protect their wrongdoings,” he added. A system which rulers call democracy is actual a ‘looting practice’, he lamented.

Lashing out at the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the PAT chief said the national wealth plundered by Sharif Sharif in 1990s was more than Rs 10 billion.

He said the ‘so-called’ prime minister could not dare to meet the flood-affected people during his recent visits, fearing a backlash from victims. He said the rulers do business through capital of nation and banks, pushing the poor towards more poverty.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has termed the Parliament as unconstitutional and undemocratic as the masses are being deprived of the fruits of democracy. He said the democracy is defined as good governance and transparency, adding democracy demands the devolution of powers to the grass-root level.

It is not democracy to hold elections every five years and reach the assembly with the fake vote, he added.

“The prevalent system will have to be transfigured for the sake of real democracy. The existence of democracy is not possible without the eradication of poverty and injustice,” the PAT chief asserted. He also delineated the post-revolution scenario and announced that after the success of the revolution, the homeless will be provided with houses, the poor will be furnished with loans on easy installments and the unemployed will be granted the employment allowance.

The basic amenities including education and free of cost healthcare facilities will be made available to the underprivileged, he added.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri declared that the hands of those found involved in corruption, will be broken; women will enjoy the equal rights; terrorism and extremism will be abolished from the country and sectarian killing will be considered an unpardonable offence.

Dr. Qadri pointed out that at least 70 Parliamentarians landed in the present assembly in stark contradiction with the Constitution.

Mian Nawaz Sharif seeks to establish an election commission of his choice in Gilgit-Baltistan in order to set up his government there; but, the people are raising ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans everywhere in the country, the PAT chief remarked.

Allama Tahirul Qadri has said few days left till the Prime Minister departs. He said that the parliament has gone numb and deaf eared common man’s issues. Parliamentarians are getting rich by each day whereas the poor remain devoid of basic necessities.=DNA
