ISLAMABAD: A gang of dacoits looted passengers of several vehicles near Tarnol area of the Federal Capital on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
According to details, the robbers stopped the vehicles near Tarnol at midnight and looted cash and valuables from the passengers. On resistance, one driver was shot dead while another was injured. Police said that the robbers escaped from the scene after committing the crime. It is worth mentioning that incidents of dacoities are common in the rural areas of Islamabad where criminals live in Katchi Abadis unchecked. Despite claims by the capital police of arrests of many outlaws, killings and robberies are taking place on daily basis.
