KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Haider Abbas Rizvi while reacting to Imran Khan’s accusations against MQM referred to it as ‘shameful’.

Talking exclusively with a private television channel immediately after Khan’s presser, Rizvi said that today a man known worldwide for his ‘bad character’ leveled baseless allegations on MQM.

“Those who always pursued their politics under the shelter of Taliban and Daesh leveled accusations on MQM, which has been at the hit-list of terrorists”, slammed the MQM leader.

He said that the PTI leadership does not have the guts to offer the funeral prayers of its MPAs slain in terrorist attacks, yet it is criticizing those who have been opposing terrorism in the state.

In response to PTI chairman’s claim about Azim Tariq’s funeral, Haider Abbas Rizvi said, “Imran Khan should better know that MQM was not allowed to participate in the last rites of its slain leader”.

When asked to respond to Khan’s demand of sending the Baldia factory fire case to military courts, he said that MQM has itself categorically announced to consult the court regarding the matter. “PTI chairman is free to do whatever he likes, it does not make any difference to the MQM”, he ended. DNA
