ISLAMABAD: Resolutions condemning the threatening statements made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian leaders have on Thursday been adopted by Senate and National Assembly of Pakistan. Both the houses made it clear that entire nation stands behind the army and any adventurism will meet a befitting response.
All political parties stood united for the security and integrity of Pakistan in the parliament and made it clear that the enemies of Pakistan will be given apt response in case of adventurism. Leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq presented the resolution against the statement made by Modi and it was adopted unanimously by the house. The resolution deemed the statement by the Indian Prime Minister extremely condemnable and said that the statements made by the Indian leadership were equivalent to an attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity. Speaking in the house on this occasion, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Mushahidullah Khan said that the Indian Prime Minister, fascinated by 20th century German dictator Adolf Hitler, was representing the extremist Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The resolution in the National Assembly was presented by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. He said that Pakistan was working for the security and peace in the region and the statements made by the Indian leadership were regrettable. National Assembly also adopted the resolution unanimously.
