MINGORA: Residents of Yousaf Abad Mingora has come on roads to protest against what they called the government’s failure to address the public problems.

The protesters marched towards Swat Press Club and chanted slogans against the Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the local MPA and WAPD authorities.

They stated that the transformer of their locality is out of order since the last two weeks. They cried out their heart before WAPDA authorities and recorded their protest on every available forum, but no one is ready to resolve their problem.

Failing to find relief they once repaired their transformer out of their pocket money on Rs: 160,000. However, soon after it was again damaged.

Now they had been again requesting the WAPDA authorities to repair or replace their transformer, but the concerned authorities are using delaying tactics to put them up and are not ready for the job at all.

They further stated that they have no other option left than to resort to the strike for their right, adding they are to face many hardships in the absence of the electricity. DNA
