Relief operation in full swing in quake-hit areas

ISLAMABAD: Relief operation is in full swing in earthquake-hit areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) submitted report to Prime Minister regarding relief goods for earthquake affectees.

On the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, relief goods have been provided in quake hit areas. According to the report, so far 46,642 tents, 78,629 blankets, 11,794 plastic mats, 962.8 tons of food packs, 22,000 tarpaulins, bottled water 14 tons, 49 water filtration  plants,12 generator sets and 27 tons of medicines have been sent as part of national relief efforts for the earthquake affectees.
