Rehman Malik terms attack at shrine an attack on CPEC

ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik has said the alarming situation of continuous terrorist attacks in Balochistan is dangerous and must be taken serious. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharrif must summon an APC on the situation of Balochistan and across the country to review the implementation of NAP.

All political parties of the country above political differences stood united and formulated NAP but yet it is not implemented in its true letter and spirit. How much more bloodshed the nation has to witness; Khuzdar tragic incident is an administrative and intelligence failure.  Some federal ministers are passing childish and inappropriate remarks about Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari which is highly condemnable; they must concentrate on their assigned duties for the betterment of the country.

Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior and former Interior Minister Rehman Malik  strongly condemned the suicide attack at Shrine of Shah Noorani in Khuzdar area of Balochistan. He said that it was an attack on CPEC so the role ofIndia must not be ignored. He proposed PM Narendra Modi must be named in FIR for his anti-CPEC and anti-Balochistan statement. He said he expresses great grief over the loss of precious lives on the behalf of Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said how much more blood we have to witness more as the tragedy proves terrorists are still strong to conduct such a havoc blasts.

Senator A. Rehman Malik stressed that it is distressing that more than 360 people were killed in terrorist attacks in Balochistan in last six month and the province is continuously under attack.

Addressing a press conference early morning on Sunday before leaving for Dubaiwhere he was summoned by Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari for important consultation on overall situation of the country Rehman Malik said that a year ago he had confirmed that he has documentary evidence about the presence of the Daish militant group in Pakistan.

He said India is nervous about CPEC and it is difficult for PM Modi whom he calls the chief of terrorists to put up with this project so the RAW in collaboration with Afghan intelligence and agencies of some other countries is operating in Balochistan to sabotage CPEC by creating uncertainty and instability in the region while using terrorism as a tool.

He said it is the need of the hour to implement NAP in its true spirits and in all provinces without any discrimination by taking fierce actions against terrorists at every inch of the country.

Rehman Malik stressed on all political forces of the country that we need unity rather political polarization to combat the menace of terrorism which is duly backed by our worst enemies.
