<strong></strong>Staff Reporter RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi development authority(RDA) blacklist 31 housing societies located in different localities of Rawalpindi these were the views of director planning RDA while talking to the scribe he said that in 2013 the numbers of illegal housing societies were 27 now the number increased to 31 he said that housing societies have been declared for not meeting the requirement laid down in section 12(5) of 1976 law for housing societies he said that strict action will be taken to these societies very soon. According to the detail Illegal housing societies have increased in the city due to non initiation of any action by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).In 2013 the numbers of societies were 27 but now in 2015, about 31housing societies were declared illegal by the RDA but they are operating with impunity and selling plots to innocent people with the connivance of corrupt elements of the RDA. Not only the work is being continued in these societies but their owners have built houses therein and sold them out to the citizens. Moreover some societies with fake names and by showing sectors like F17 which is not the part of Islamabad sector at all still working in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The RDA had declared 27 housing schemes illegal in 2013 which were located on Chakri, Adiala, airport, Dhok Chaudhrian, and other roads. Now the number of illegal societies has increased to 30.The housing societies which were declared illegal by the RDA in 2013 included Gulshan Ali Adiala Road, Gulf City Khiaban-e-Quaid, Chakri Road, Fazal Town, Airport Road, Lake Vista Kalial Road, Al-Muslim Estate Adiala Road, Airport Employees Airport Road, New University Town Chakri Road, National Town Chakri Road, Gulshan Iqbal Dhamial Road, Jinnah Town Adiala Road, Samar zar Adiala Road, Khiaban-e- Millat Adiala Road, Gulberg Town Adiala Road, Lawyers Cooperative Housing Society, Inter link property centre (Khan builders Gulshan Babar, Adiala Road, Shah Pur Town Adiala Road, Ibrahim Villas Adiala Road, Saleha Villas (Krishma property centre) Adiala Road, SS Marketing Adiala Road, Sanober City Adiala Road, Ch Khalid Mehmood Dhok Kala Khan, New link Road Dhok Chaudhrian, Malik Ishfaq Dhok Khan New link Road, Dhok chaudhrian, Airport Housing Society Airport Road, Palm City Dhok Chaudhrian, Lawyers Town DHA Road, Radio Colony Adiala Road, Madina ul Salam Gardan Township and Chak Beli road societies.The RDA has taken no action against these societies so far. Had the RDA forced these societies to get registered, the civic body could have fetched million of rupees revenue on account of registration fee.
