KARACHI: The paramilitary Rangers have executed 5 suspects affiliated to a banned terrorist organisation.
The terrorists had attacked the paramilitary Rangers in an ambush while the Rangers were on a routine patrol in Khairabad area in Manghopir, the stronghold of terrorist outfits ion large number. On ascertain the exact location of hide-out of the terrorist, the paramilitary Rangers cordoned off the locality and engage the terrorist. Resultantly, 5 were executed. Assistant Sub-Inspector Ejaz Aslam and Rangers personnel Pir Bux sustained bullet injuries in the fight.
Rangers spokesperson said that the encounter between the law enforcers and militants took place when the raiding party entered terrorists’ hideout, adding that after an exchange of fire, five militants were killed.
The law enforcers claim to have recovered cache of weapons and explosives from the possession of the militants killed during the encounter. After completing medico-legal procedures at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, bodies of executed terrorist were deposited at the Edhi morgue. However, none has so far arrived at the morgue to claim the bodies.
Manghopir Police, however, claimed to have identified 2 of them as Hazrat and Kamal and they had affiliated to terrorist organisations Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan and banned sectarian outfit Sipah-e Sahaba Pakistan.
A day earlier, the paramilitary Rangers had executed 4 Balouch Liberation Army militants in Memon Goth in District Malir. NNI
