ISLAMABAD: The ongoing rain spell in most parts of the country has reduced the intensity of prevailing heat wave conditions, giving a perfect chance to the people to visit the recreational spots and enjoy the pleasant weather.
Islamabad experienced moderate to heavy rain as majority of people thronged to public places to enjoy the rainy weather which according to weather experts would last till Wednesday.
People enjoyed the nice weather at Pir Sohawa, Damn-i-Koh, Lake View Park, Fatima Jinnah Park and other public places. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has indicated the chances of rain to continue till Wednesday which would reduce the day temperatures.
More rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA , Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
Scattered places of Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat and Mardan divisions, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and isolated places in Faisalabad, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan divisions would receive rain.
Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh and Balochistan during the next 24 hours. The rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours were Malamjabba 56 mm, Kalam 36, Parachinar 34, Pattan 30, Muzaffarabad 29, Saidu sharif 25, Mirkhani 24, Drosh 21, Chitral, Balakot 20, Lower Dir 17, Cherat 16, Bahawalpur (Airport 13, City 09), Larkana and Peshawar (Airport) 13.
