Radio Pakistan building vacated fearing attack by marchers

ISLAMABAD (INP): Authorities have evacuated the staff of the Radio Pakistan Headquarters and shifted it to the Rawalpindi office, in order to avoid any mishap and sealed the building completely reported a private Tv channel.

According to details, Radio Pakistan Headquarters was vacated in the wake of ongoing protest-ins nearby, the staff was shifted to the Rawalpindi office while currently all sorts of broadcasts are suspended.

Authorities feared an attack on Radio Pakistan’s nerve centre, by the participants of the protest sit-ins.

The Radio Pakistan Headquarters is located opposite to the NADRA office, in the red zone of Islamabad.

The protest sit-ins staged by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are nearly one kilometer away from the Radio Pakistan building.
