Qureshi, Siraj optimistic to reach consensus over judicial commission

INP 22-80ISLAMABAD, 22 DEC (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday said that their relation with the government had improved.

Talking to the media after the meeting Shah Mehmood said PTI demonstrated responsibility by calling off the sit-in adding that he was optimistic that government and PTI would reach a consensus over the establishment of judicial commission and other matters in the next session of talks.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi met Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House in Islamabad.  Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that PTI had played an important role in the current situation despite political differences.

On his part, Sirajul Haq commended PTI’s decision of wrapping up the sit-in stating that the responsibility now lies upon the shoulders of federal government. He further said year 2015 must be a peaceful one whereas Shah Mehmood urged the government to employ all available resources to counter terrorism.

Shah Mehmood said that he had discussed Peshawar attack in a meeting with Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq at Khyber  Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister House.  JI chief Sirajul Haq said that they want peaceful 2015. This attack made Peshawar ‘Karbala’, he added. DNA
