MULTAN, Oct 26 (INP): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairman Shah
Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday said that there was no importance of National
Assembly (NA) seats for making Naya Pakistan.
Taking to media, Qureshi said that he is thankful to Umerkot and masses of
Sindh for the biggest ever Jalsa in Umerkot on October 24.
“The change will definitely come in the country, under the leadership of
Imran Khan,” Qureshi said.
“We will appear before Speaker NA Ayaz Sadiq on October 29,” he said.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that his party would hold more anti-government
rallies in Punjab and Sindh.
“We are preparing to stage a massive rally in Rahim Yar Khan on Nov 9 and in
Sahiwal town on Nov 15, besides our planned rally in Larkana on Nov 21,”
Qureshi said.
Replying to a question, he said the party’s sit-in in Islamabad would
continue.
“We have not ended our protest sit-in, it will continue till all objectives
are achieved, but it has been decided that party songs will not be played in
dharna due to sanctity of Muharram-ul-Haram,” Qureshi said.
Replying to another query, Qureshi said PTI stands by its decision that the
party will not take part in by-elections.
Regarding verification of PTI lawmakers’ resignations, he said a
Parliamentary Party meeting convened on Tuesday in Peshawar would device
future strategy.
