RAWALPINDI: Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana Saturday inaugurated second Cadet College Hasan Abdal (CCH) National Ourtreach Programme introduced in the College to facilitate selected students belonging to far flung remote areas to enable themselves in getting admissions at reputed educational institutions of the country.
The ceremony was attended by Principal CCH Abdal Major General (retd) Najeeb Tariq, Chairman Executive Committee CCH Board of Governors and POF Wah Lt General Sadiq Ali, Member BoG Caretaker Punjab Minister for Social Welfare, Human Rights, Minority Affairs Faisal Mushtaq and other Members Board of Governors.
Addressing on the occasion, Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana underlined the need of providing adequate opportunities of quality education to the students belonging to less developed areas so that they could be able to compete merit admission tests and avail chances for studying in quality educational institutions. He acknowledged the contributions of Cadet College Hasan Abdal and “Abdalians” for arranging scholarships for such students who had become a symbol of national unity and federation. He asked philanthropists to contribute for the cause generously and become a helping hand for underprivileged sections of society.
Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said that we can achieve the height of glories only by focusing on expansion of education in the country and educational institutions like Cadet College Hasan Abdal had been performing its due role for the purpose. He asked young students to strive hard and make it possible to seek admissions and become role model for the people of their localities.
Principal CCH Major General (retd) Najeeb Tariq informed that National Outreach Prrogram was initiated to improve the capacity of students of underdeveloped regions of Pakistan so that they could complete admission tests and prove themselves eligible to acquire education in prestigious educational institutions.
The meeting Board of Governors Cadet College Hasan Abdal also held in CCH which was chaired by Governor Punjab and Chairman BoG and attended BoG Members. Various matters pertaining to administrative and educational facilities came under discussion and a number of steps approved on the occasion.
