Qadri rejects FIR: says anti terrorist act clause not included

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri Thursday rejected the first information report (FIR) of Model Town tragedy lodged in Faisal Town police station.

“FIR is not acceptable to me as FIR is incomplete, Qadri said while addressing the participants of sit-in. He claimed that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is not nominated in the FIR.  Sections of anti-terrorism act were also not included in the FIR, he added.

Minhajul Quran had asked the police to nominate 21 accused including the prime minister, the Punjab chief minister and the federal ministers in the FIR.

Earlier, PAT Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri claimed Thursday that no news about the registration of FIR of Model Town incident can be trusted as his lawyer Mansoor Afridi has not received the copy of FIR as yet. He said that unless the FIR copy reaches him, no news should be believed about registration of the FIR.

Addressing the protestors,Dr. Tahirul Qadri congratulated the protesters and announced that they have now reached the ‘revolution phase’. Agencies
