Lahore: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahir-ul-Qadri has contacted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Jehangir Tareen and invited PTI to join protest march to be held on June 17 commemorating the Model Town incident.
According to details, Tahir-ul-Qadri telephoned Jehangir Tareen on Thursday and discussed several matters of mutual interest including the political situation of the country.
Qadri invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to participate in PAT protest rally in Lahore against the government for not taking action over the killing of its 14 workers two years ago.
Sources said, Jehangir Tareen assured Tahir-ul-Qadri that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will join the protest.
