KHANEWAL: Punjab Teachers Union postponed sit in and protests in Lahore. According to detail, Punjab Teachers Union sit in and protest was scheduled to be held in Lahore in front of the Punjab assembly in favour of the rights of teacher’s community in Punjab. Supreme council of Punjab Teachers Unions, under the leadership of Ghulam Mustafa Riaz met with secretary School education Punjab, Abdul Jabbar Shaheen in Lahore, others members of Supreme Council of Punjab Teachers Union ,Allah Baksh Qaisar(central leader) , Muhammad Arshad Gul ( General Sectary) , Roy Abdullah ( senior vice President) , Allah Rakha Gujjar, Ghulam Mustafa Shaheen ( RYK) , Chaudhary Zafar ( Rawalpindi), Chaudhary Muhammad Arif Sahu, Ghulam Rasool ( Khanewal) , Mirza Tariq Mahmood ( Vehari) , Haji Nazir wanis (Multan), Malik Abbas Khokhar ( Nankana Sahib), representatives of education department Ahmed Ali Kamboh ( Special Sectary Education), Riaz Butt( Additional Secretary Admin ) ,Rana Hassan Akhtar ( Additional Sectary Education), Malik Abdu Razzaq Deputy sectary secondary school) and Mumtaz Shah (DPI) were also in the meeting. Charter of demand was presented by Supreme Council of Punjab Teachers Union to the secretary school education Punjab regarding difficulties being faced by teacher community in Punjab, regarding Retirement, pension, transfer and posting and availing privilege leave. After long meeting & negotiations with the leaders of teacher union, Secretary Education agreed and issued the notification to resolve the maximum faced problems by teachers, vide notification no. SO (SEIII) 5-61/2015/6-5-2015, according to this notification, teachers will not be forced to retire from service on zero result. Below result policy will not be implemented. Order will be issued to regularize the contract teachers within week. Primary teacher’s vacancy will be upgraded. Promotion of teachers and their service package will be dealt with in all circumstances until May 31. If district official do negligence against pain under the Act strict action should be taken against him. On the outstanding result of 8th and 10th class, teachers must be awarded by cash prize and promoted to next grade. Teachers have right to avail 25 days privilege leave and head of the institute has power to approved it. Committee has been formed for the solution of other faced problems by teachers which will present report within one month. In the last Markazi president Rai Ghulam Mustafa Riaz thanked to secretary school Punjab, Abdul Jabbar Shaheen and assured the teachers will play their active role achieve the goal of CM Punjab, Parha Likha Punjab.
