LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that contractors involved in the looting the public wealth by corruption in development projects would not be spared at any cost.
Chairing a meeting to review the construction of roads in the rural areas of the province here on Saturday, Shahbaz Sharif said that no one would be allowed to spoil the public wealth.
He said that the Punjab government will spend Rs150 billion on construction and repair of roads in the rural areas across the province during next three years.
Shahbaz Sharif said that in first step construction and repair of 255 roads in the rural areas of the province will be completed till September 30, this year.
He said that responsibility of reconstruction or repair of roads will be of contractor and where there are proofs of use of second-rate material, strict action should be taken against the contractor.
