ISLAMABAD: Police personnel on Monday pulled their socks up after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) call to lockdown Islamabad.
Sources told that more than 1000 officers participate in trainings daily to deal with the PTI supporters.
The main purpose of these exercises is to teach the policemen how to stop protesters and save themselves.
It was also observed that officers equipped with advanced weapons are enthusiastically taking part in different activities which will continue for few more days.
Earlier, PTI chief Imran Khan said that his party will hold historic protest in Islamabad, in order to press the government to investigate the Panama Leaks issue. He further said that rulers will not be allowed to escape from accountability.
The date for the protest is still undecided but PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen held a meeting with Imran Khan and suggested him to hold anti-government rally in Islamabad on November 2.
In a video message, Imran Khan had also appealed the party workers to donate at least Rs100 for anti-government protest.
