FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold a large public gathering in Faisalabad on Oct 28, three days before local bodies’ elections in the district.

According to reports, the election rally will be held at Dhobi Ghat ground of the city where PTI chief Imran Khan is expected to address a large number of his supporters.

Reports said PTI buffs from across the Faisalabad district will join the rally on Oct 28 in the city considered as stronghold of ruling PML-N’s politics, as electioneering for three-phased municipal elections gained momentum in the province.

Officials said the polling for first phase of local bodies elections will be held on Oct 31 in Punjab’s 12 districts, which include Lodhran, Vehari, Okara, Pakpattan, Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Gujrat, Bahawalnagar, Faisalabad, Bhakkar and Chakwal.

Polling for second phase will be arranged on November 19 in Khanewal, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, M.B.Din, Attock and Jhelum districts.

The third phase will commence on December 3 in Lyyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhawalpur, Rajan Pur, Rahim yar Khan, Multan, Rawalpindi, Muzaffar Garh, Narowal, Jhang and Khoshab.  NNI
