PErvaizISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has several facets. He said that PTI and Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed have planned terrorism for November 30 and alleged that they have contacted terrorists. He also alleged that Imran Khan and Sheikh Rasheed have given contract to terrorist organizations for November 30.

Federal Minister said that Imran Khan always had soft corner for the terrorists and did not want operation against them. “Imran Khan’s mood went off when Operation Zarb-e-Azb started”, he said.

Imran Khan has several facets, said Pervaiz Rashid. “On one side, Imran Khan says he was asleep when some people attacked Pakistan Tele-Vision (PTV) building while on the other he can be seen in the footages taking pride in the fact that his ‘tigers’ vacated PTV building when he ordered them to”, says Pervaiz Rashid. Talking to media on Sunday in Islamabad, Pervaiz Rashid said that Imran Khan must clarify whether he stood by Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad’s statement or rejected it. He said that Imran Khan incited his workers to violence.

Pervaiz Rashid said that the government had to face some difficulties due to the sit-in but had the government used force, real faces of Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri wouldn’t have been exposed before the people.

Responding to a question, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that Tahirul Qadri ended the sit-in because his Canadian passport was going to expire and he had to go and get it renewed.

Senator Pervaiz Rashid rejected any chance of arresting Imran Khan. He said that there would be no gains for the government in arresting PTI chief. He said that the government would never stop Imran Khan from protesting if he keeps it peaceful.

Pervaiz Rashid also showed the footages of Imran Khan in which Chairman PTI was seen claiming that the PTI workers vacated PTV building on his directions. The footage also showed Dr. Tahirul Qadri congratulating Imran Khan for capturing PTV building. Then he also showed the footage in which Imran Khan was seen claiming that he was asleep when some people attacked PTV building and alleged that it were government’s own people who attacked the building.

Information Minister said that the government chose to allow PTI and PAT to stage their protests. When a journalist questioned why the government was still not arresting Imran Khan, Pervaiz Rashid replied that the government chose the democratic way by allowing them to protest. “Despite the fact that they attacked important state institutions, government decided to let them expose themselves”, he said.

PML-N senator said that the Prime Minister didn t have the powers to open any constituencies and only the election tribunals had that authority under Constitution of Pakistan.
