PTI Punjab finalizes strategy for by-polls

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf finalized its strategy to successfully contest the by-polls on seats vacated due to annulment of elections of PML-N members.

PTI Punjab organizer Chaudhry Sarwar chaired a meeting on Tuesday to devise campaign plan for these elections. The meeting, held at Chairman Secretariat was attended by PTI candidates for Lahore by polls Abdul Aleem Khan, Shoaib Siddiquie, PTI MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal, Deputy Organizer PTI Punjab Omar Cheema and Lahore Organizer Mahar Wajid Azeem.

The meeting decided to run the campaign at full-throttle. The senior leadership of the party including Chairman Imran Khan, National Organizer Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Punjab Organizer Ch Sarwar would address the rallies, corner meetings and other events held for campaigning.

The party workers and candidates would go door to door to deliver the message of Chairman Imran Khan to  the constituents. The PTI’s plan to resolve the national issues would be presented in these meetings to the public.

It was also decided that the government inefficiencies, corruption and failures would be exposed before masses. Chaudhry Sarwar, addressing the meeting, said that PML-N won’t hesitate to use the public machinery to rig these polls.

But, he said, PTI tigers would be deployed at all polling booths to monitor and resist any attempt to steal the mandate of people. He also drew attention towards blatant disregard of election code of conduct by PML-N. ECP must take notice of using public funds to manage public votes, he said. He hoped the people won’t vote looters and oppressors and victory would be of PTI.

The Insaf Razakar exercise in General Elections 2013 had proved a big success in spreading the ideology of PTI. That model would be replicated in by polls as well, said Ch Sarwar. The change is in the air and it is matter of time when plunderers and looters would be sent packing by brave people of Pakistan, said Ch Sarwar.

The Punjab and federal governments have not only failed the people by not living up to their words and promises in elections but they have failed Pakistan in world community, he stated while adding that India killed eight civilians and injured dozens but PMLN could not take the matter up at any forum so far.

He said PTI was only party that fulfilled moat of its election promises in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Anyone can feel  positive change in KPK since PTI came to power there, he stated. All other status quo parties have given nothing to their people, he lamented. NNI
