PESHAWAR: The scene in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly soon turned into a brawl between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers shortly after the House went in session.
The effects of Lahore’s tensed by-election were visible in the KP Assembly as well. It started when PML-N lawmaker Sobia Khan sought permission from the acting Speaker to speak and upon denial, started chanting loud slogans “sher aya… sher aya”, literally lion has arrived.
This provoked PTI lawmakers to respond with equal zeal and the House soon seemed nothing short of a fish market.
Members Provincial Assembly (MPAs) kept chanting loud slogans and were not willing to let go.
