SpeakerISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNAs did not show up at National Assembly Speaker’s chamber on Friday to confirm their resignations.
According to Speaker Office, 3 PTI MNAs including Arif Alvi, Shireen Mazari and Munazza Hassan were directed by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to show up at Speaker Office on September 26 to validate their resignations but none of them appeared at the office.
According to Speaker Office, suspended PTI President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has stated it on floor of the house that the resignations were taken forcefully.
It further said the speaker is obligatory under Article 43 to affirm that the resignations are given willfully and are bona fide.
The schedule for calling upon rest of the PTI members would be given on Monday whereas Imran Khan has already been summoned on October 13. DNA
