Islamabad: The delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, in which they discussed the legislation passed by the government the previous day.
According to Express News, a three-member delegation led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Qaiser reached Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Islamabad for a meeting.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawyer Faisal Chaudhry and Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai were present along with Asad Qaiser.
According to the sources, in the meeting, the legislation passed by the government on the previous day was discussed. After the meeting, PTI’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry spoke to the media while Asad Qaiser left without speaking.
Speaking to the media, Faisal Chaudhry said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and we have the same stand against the government’s legislation, and the legislation that has been enacted, we both the opposition parties are calling it wrong.
He said that the way the constitution bench has been formed today is an attack on the Supreme Court, the founder PTI has also termed the steps like constitutional amendment and constitution bench as an attack on the people and the judiciary.
Faisal Chaudhry said that PTI founder believes that if these amendments are accepted, the extension mafia will crush the people like ants.
He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has discussed the constitutional amendment and legislation and the next plan of action and I did not come here with any message from the founder of PTI.
