RAWALPINDI: Traders of Rawalpindi expressing grave concerns over prolonged delay in Metro Bus project adversely affecting their businesses have set up a hunger strike camp.
Businessmen and trade organizations of various markets situated along Murree Road from 6th Road Rawalpindi to Saddar are participating in the protest camp established in Committee Chowk of the city.
The trade bodies and business community said during last one a half year trade activities in the city were minimized due to inconvenience caused by Metro Bus project.
They said that more delay in the project will not be accepted at any cost as traders who have already suffered a lot were no more in position to bear further financial losses.
The trade bodies and businessmen participating in the hunger strike camp vowed to continue their protest till the project was completed and business activities were restored as usual.
