Power shortfall increases to 4600 MW

ISLAMABAD: Gap between power supply and demand is widening day by day as temperature has started to rise in most parts of the country. Duration of power cuts in urban areas has reached eight hours while rural areas are suffering eleven hours of load shedding.

According to NTDC sources, electricity shortfall across Pakistan has reached 4600 MW. Power supply is 9500 MW against the demand of 14100 MW. NNI
