ISLAMABAD: Senior leader Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Raja Zafarul Haq Monday said that politics should have taken a back seat on Kashmir Solidarity Day. He was commenting on the aggressive political statements from various politicians against each other on Kashmir Solidarity Day. The senior leader said that political parties have differences with each other but there was no need to issue political statements on such a day. The PMLN leader was speaking in Roze News program Sachi Baat with Sardar Khan Niazi.
He said that all political parties should take a unified stance on Kashmir issue. Raja Zafarul Haq said that almost all Muslim countries fully support Pakistan’s stand on Kashmir issue. He said that Kashmir Committee Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman is doing his best in his capacity for the Kashmir cause.
Commenting on the situation in Indian Occupies Kashmir, the PMLN leader said that India has closed all access to the valley. He said that even doctors and journalists are not allowed to go to the valley. He said that the resistance movement in Indian Occupied Kashmir has intensified in recent years and now even people within Indian are questioning the occupation of Kashmir. He said that it is the need of the hour that Pakistan presents the case of Kashmir with new vigor at international level.
Commenting on Nawaz Sharif’s policy with regards to Kashmir, Raja Zafarul Haq said that Nawaz Sharif has always provided maximum resources for Kashmir.
