Polio victim tops in Abbottabad Board SSC exam

ABBOTTABAD:  Physically-challenged Faisal Malik, who was stricken by polio during the early years of his life and still uses crutches to walk, has clinched the top position in the intermediate examinations in Abbottabad district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Faisal came out on top from a pool of over 58,000 students.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Abbottabad, recently announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate examinations, Of the 58,253 students, who sat the examinations, 44,585 were declared successful.

Malik Faisal a brilliant student of GHS Chajjian Haripur bagged the first position with 810 marks and was awarded 500,000 by the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak.

KP education minister Atif Khan also congratulated Faisal Malik and his father Farman Ali over the achievement and hoped that his son would earn a good name in the near future.
