KARACHI: A policeman was injured as a ‘mishandled’ hand grenade exploded in an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in the Clifton area on Monday, Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) South Jamil Ahmed confirmed.
The accidental explosion occurred when a hand grenade, which was being examined as “case property” went off in ATC-II, the DIG said.
Initial reports suggested the sound of the explosion caused fear and panic to spread on court premises.
