PML-N’s Raheela Durrani takes oath as Balochistan Assembly Speaker

QUETTA: Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani on Thursday took oath as Balochistan Assembly Speaker.

She has been elected as Speaker of Balochistan Assembly without any contest.

Raheela Durrani is the 14th speaker of Balochistan Assembly and the first ever woman speaker of the house. She has been elected unopposed in the assembly as no one came in to contest against her.

Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani was born in Quetta. She has done her M.A, L.L.B fromUniversity of Balochistan and also completed Certificate in Leadership, Environment and Sustainable Development.

She is a practicing Lawyer and social worker by profession. She is currently an active member of Public Safety Commission Balochistan, National Commission on Status of Women (NCSW), and Balochistan Olympic Association.
