Lahore: The top leadership meeting of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (N) discussed the talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the written demands.
According to Express News, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra Raiwind during his stay in Lahore, which was also attended by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Sources in the ruling party said that the three leaders had a detailed discussion on the political situation in the country and the political talks with PTI also came under consideration.
The high-level meeting also considered the response to PTI’s written demands.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz lasted for more than 2 hours and after that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for Model Town.
Later, a statement issued by the PML-N said that important political and national issues were discussed in the meeting and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed Nawaz Sharif on the country’s political and economic situation and consulted on important issues.
It was reported regarding the meeting that during the discussions between the leadership, the government’s efforts to address the country’s economic woes have borne fruit and the inflation graph has significantly decreased.
According to the statement, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the government’s steps to reduce inflation and provide relief to the people.
