ISLAMABAD: At the request of President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will go to Azerbaijan today (Wednesday) on a two-day official visit.
The Prime Minister’s entourage will include ministers who represent the top sectors of cooperation with Azerbaijan, according to the Foreign Office.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will speak in detail with President Ilham Aliyev on crucial areas of cooperation like trade, investment, and energy.
There will also be discussion of regional and global challenges that require cooperation in multilateral forums.
Mutual trust and agreement on regional and global issues strengthen the connection between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, which is rooted in shared religious beliefs, cultural traditions, and historical experiences.
Frequent meetings at the highest levels of government highlight the strong relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and advance multidimensional collaboration for the benefit of both nations’ populations.
