ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Norway next week at the invitation of his Norwegian counterparty Erna Solberg to participate in Oslo Summit on Education for Development on Tuesday, Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said.
According to the spokesman, the summit will be held on July 7. This will be the first official visit by a Pakistani leader to Norway in over a decade.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will address the Education Summit and interact with several world leaders.
The Prime Minister will hold delegation level talks with his Norwegian counterpart. He will also meet Crown Prince of Norway Haakon Magnus. The visit will provide an opportunity to the Prime Minister to discuss bilateral as well as global and regional issues with the Norwegian leadership.
The Prime Minister’s visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between Pakistan and Norway. NNI
