ISLAMABAD, May 23 (NNI): An all Parties Conference (APC) on China Pakistan Economic Corridor project is being held in Islamabad on Thursday. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will chair the meeting. Nawaz Sharif called the conference to persuade leaders of political parties who have apprehensions on the project.
Official says the Prime Minister has convened the all parties conference to take the political leadership in to confidence over the route of planned Economic Corridor between Pakistan and China.
This mega project is being dubbed as a fate changer not only for Pakistan but also for the entire region. This project envisages construction of three alignments from
Gwadar to Kashgar as well as establishment of energy projects. This is the second all parties conference on the project. The first meeting was held on the 13th of this month. In the earlier such meeting, some political leaders had shown their reservations on purported change in route of the project.
